A nice old steam locomotive.
There was a lot of rail road traffic through Carbon Hill. This one is taking on water and coal.
It will most likely pull lumber and coal to Birmingham. Most traffic was Frisco, L&N and Santa Fe.
I loved to watch trains. The steam engines whistle was a sound all its on. Scarey up close but lonely and sad if heard late at night and far away.
